| Man airlifted from Lumpkin Co. wreck |
A Lumpkin County man was flown from the scene of a crash in Dahlonega on Tuesday evening.
According to the State Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 52 near Captain McDonald Road in the area of Yahoola Creek Park.
The driver was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. No other vehicles were involved. The wreck happened just after 5 p.m.

| Double fatality crash reported in Lumpkin Co. |
Officials with the Georgia State Patrol said a crash took the lives of two people Thursday afternoon in Dahlonega.
Authorities said the accident happened around 12:45 p.m. at Cavender Creek Road and Rail Hill Road.
The names of the deceased and the cause of the crash are not being released at this time.
