| I have just recently purchased a 19 year old Nissan 240 and don't trust the previous owners. Is there a way to get the car searched by Lumpkin County or the GSP for drugs and have amnesty IF they find anything? Or would I be held responsible for anything found since I gave up my 4th amendment right? |

I would suggest you call the SO and talk to them about it I am sure if you do have them search and they do find something you will not be charged. Since you are coming forward and letting them know instead of you being pulled over for a traffic violation and them discovering it. _________________ R.I.P. Jack Hiatt AKA GOM |

We have people call from time to time where I work and asked to have a drug K-9 search a car they purchased. We do it and usually dont find anything. I would just call the SO and ask them to some out, your not going to get in trouble.
I rented a brand new car once at amajor airport and found a marijuana blunt sitting in the glove box. I called airport police and they came and got it. I think its good practice to search any rental car since dopers use them all the time to deal out of. |

Wow, that is something I have never thought of doing, searching the rental. I have never found anything out of the ordinary, but then again, I have never pulled the seats out. _________________ The reason most people fail instead of succeed is because they trade what they want most, for what they want at the moment. |
